Delete Your Folko Account

You can delete your Folko account and all associated data directly from within the Folko app at any time. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and how to contact us if you need help.
In-App Deletion (Recommended)
Open the Folko app on your device and navigate to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Confirm the deletion. Your account will be deactivated immediately, and all of your personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. During this 30-day window, you can sign in again to reactivate your account.
What Gets Deleted
- All of your cashbooks, transactions, members, balances, recurring transactions, and savings goals
- Your email address and account identifiers
- Your authentication tokens (Apple, Google) — we send a revocation request to the respective provider on your behalf
- Your push notification tokens
- Locally stored data on the device you used the app on
What May Be Retained
A limited set of records may be retained for legitimate legal and operational reasons:
- Anonymized financial records required for tax and accounting obligations (no personal identifiers)
- Subscription transaction records retained by Apple App Store or Google Play Store — these are outside Folko's control
- Backups containing anonymized data may persist for up to 90 days before being overwritten
Email Request (Alternative)
If you cannot access the app — for example, you've uninstalled it or lost device access — you can request account deletion by emailing privacy@folko.io from the email address associated with your account. We will verify ownership and process the deletion within 30 days.
